Omnius Gaming Hits the Stage at AGC 2025 – Rocket League Takes 3rd, Ethereal Makes LAN Debut
Cape Town, South Africa – July 22, 2025
The African Gaming Championship (AGC) 2025 proved to be an unforgettable weekend of competition, passion, and rising talent - and Omnius Gaming was right at the heart of it. With our Rocket League team clinching 3rd place and our Valorant Ethereal (female) squad making their LAN debut, AGC 2025 was a milestone moment in our journey.

Rocket League Takes 3rd After Dominant Group Stage
Our Rocket League roster came into AGC determined to prove their mettle — and they did just that. They topped their group in the opening rounds, securing key wins and showcasing incredible synergy on stage.
In the playoffs, they faced off against Monarch, one of the tournament favorites, in a tightly contested series. Despite falling 1-3, the team regrouped and battled through the lower bracket with composure and grit, eventually finishing 3rd overall — once again falling to Monarch in a fierce rematch.
The excitement wasn’t just on the field — the casters were fired up about the Omnius Rocket League squad, sharing how eager they were to see what this new roster could do under the Omnius banner. It was the team’s first LAN appearance as Omnius, and they’ve already made a lasting impression.

Valorant Ethereal Steps Into the Spotlight
For Omnius Ethereal, AGC marked a historic moment - their first-ever LAN appearance. This all-female Valorant team not only represented the future of women in local esports but also the growing depth of competition within the Valorant scene.
Despite facing tech issues during key moments, the team kept their spirits high and delivered a strong showing. Finishing 7th in a stacked bracket, Ethereal gained invaluable experience and left with heads held high. The weekend was a major learning curve - but also a sign of things to come. The grind continues.

AGC 2025 – South Africa’s Premier Esports Arena
Held at GrandWest Sun Exhibits in Cape Town, AGC 2025 brought together elite talent from across the country to compete in six major titles. With R150,000 in total prize pools, international pathways, and a main stage powered by global partners, the event marked a new high for South African esports.
From the energy of the crowd to the power of the plays, it was clear: AGC isn’t just a tournament - it’s a launchpad. And Omnius Gaming is proud to be a part of that story.
